WINTER PROGRAM AT KYOTO UNIVERSITY

The Winter Program is an initiative organized by the Faculty of Agriculture, Kyoto University since 2017, specifically designed for undergraduate students. Its main objective is to introduce Kyoto University’s academic environment and provide insights into Japanese agriculture. Typically, the program is conducted at the beginning of the year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Winter Program was held online from 2019 to 2022. In 2023 and 2024, the program was temporarily suspended, but it resumed in 2025 with in-person activities held in Kyoto, Japan.
Registration is now open for December 2025 Departure.
Participant Quota:
We will select 14 undergraduate students from all majors to participate in the program:
- 5 students will receive full support
- 9 students will receive partial support
Program Dates:
December 14 (Sunday) to December 20 (Saturday), 2025* (tentative)
Required Documents:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Complete the online form: ipb.link/winterprogramdec2025
- Copy of passport (main page)
- Motivation letter (max. 1000 words, single page)
- Academic transcript in English (for students in at least their 3rd year)
- Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL min. 475, TOEIC, or IELTS)
- Certificate of active student status
Submission Guidelines:
- Submit all required documents via this link: ipb.link/winterprogramdec2025 by 1 October 2025, no later than 23:59 WIB.
- Applicants who pass the document screening will be invited for an interview, scheduled between 2-5 October 2025.
