Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’uun..

Extending deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the family of our late co-worker, colleague, lecturer, friend, and sister : Dr. Rahmi Yunianti, SP, M.Si., who has returned to the mercy of Allah on Monday morning, June 18, 2012, exactly a day after celebrating her 41st birthday (born on June 17, 1971).  She was a lecturer at the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Bogor Agricultural University.

 The deceased was the wife of Dr. M. Syukur, who is also a lecturer at the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture,  Bogor Agricultural University, who was well-known as a breeder of chillis.

During her life, the deceased was active as a lecturer and researcher at the Plant Breeding Division, and has conducted  many researches in vegetable crop breeding, among others tomato breeding.

 The deceased who was fondly called “Ibu Eca” left a son (8 years old), and two daughters (3 years old and 5 days old).

Ibu Eca was buried at Alam Sari Housing Complex, Caringin, Bogor.  The funeral was immediately led and attended by IPB Rector Prof.  Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Agr, Dean of IPB Faculty of Agriculture Dr. Ernan Rustiadi, M.Agr and Head of Department of Agronomy ad Horticulture Dr. Agus Purwito, MSc.Agr, on the same day, Monday June 18, 2012, in the afternoon.

May the soul of the late Ibu Eca find eternal happiness at the side of Allah the All-Merciful, all her good deeds be accepted, all her mistakes be forgiven, and the bereaved family be given strength and steadfastness in accepting the will of ALLAH SWT, aamiin ya Rabbal ‘alamiin….
