Now Open Registration for September 2023 Departure to Kyoto University

(1 slot half-funded for ARL and PWL student)

DDP is a collaboration program between IPB University and Kyoto University, especially Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies (GSGES). In this program student will have a chance to pursue 2 master’s degree within 3 years. The elected students must write 2 theses to gain both degrees. Check more detailed scheme of this program in the Guideline (Notes section). The general schedule is like this:

• 2022-2023 at IPB University,
• 2023-2024 at Kyoto University, and
• 2024-2025 at IPB University – must finish on time.

Important! This announcement is a bit different to that we have announced in December 2022 (https://bit.ly/DDP2023). Registration for fully funded scheme has been closed. The slot we offer in the current announcement is only 1 additional slot with half-funded scheme:

• Tuition fee is fully waived (Applicant does not need to pay),
• Flight may be funded by KU Satellite Office of IPB,
• Living expense must be prepared by the applicant itself.

Eligible applicants

1. Having completed a bachelor’s degree
2. Minimum undergraduate GPA 3.00
3. Currently in the second semester of master’s program in IPB University (starting the study in August 2022). Students enrolled in IPB in February 2022 may also apply as well but must have already conducted Colloquium in IPB in the second semester (Aug-Dec 2022).
4. No more than 35 years old on April 1, 2023
5. Having proficiency in English communication skills
6. Be in good health
7. Not be already enrolled in another double degree program
8. This announcement is only applicable for ARL and PWL student.

6. Certificate of English proficiency (minimum 500 for TOEFL ITP, 64 for TOEFL iBT, or 6 for IELTS) and must be official from ETS or British Council

2. Interview with IPB lecturers: Late March 2023 (informed later via email)
3. Some laboratories of GSGES probably will conduct the interview within April – June 2023
4. Final announcement: April – June 2023 (cannot be ascertained for now)
5. Elected student will depart to Kyoto University in late September 2023
